I had the pleasure of styling and directing an interiors photoshoot focused on creating cosy, stylish nooks for The Broadway Magazine. This feature was designed to highlight the beauty of locally sourced products from the heart of Broadway, encouraging readers to shop local and support our village’s wonderful businesses.

The editorial offers practical tips on styling an empty nook, demonstrating that even the most challenging spaces can become stylish sanctuaries. From Catesby’s, we selected timeless pieces like a classic armchair, side table, and a stunning lamp. Good Citizen provided cosy touches, including a soft throw and a beautifully scented candle, perfect for layering texture and warmth.

To bring this vision to life, I collaborated with some fantastic Broadway-based shops, handpicking decor items that balance warmth with elegance. The talented Charlotte Burn, from The Soulful Studio, captured each scene beautifully, bringing out the charm and character of each curated corner. The shoot took place at Catesby’s Interiors, who kindly allowed us to transform their shop for the morning.

Other local businesses added their own unique contributions: a lush orchid from Bloomery, an intricate rug from Cotswold Fine Rugs, and an inviting selection of books from Blandford Books to add a literary touch. Finishing touches included a cushion from Cotswold Trading and a charming bronze owl from Priory Gallery. To add a hint of crafting appeal, knitting needles and yarn from Sew U Knit Crafts completed the look, bringing in a sense of handmade cosiness.

This project was not just about creating visually appealing corners but also about celebrating the character and quality of Broadway’s local businesses. By shopping locally, we support the artisans and shops that bring heart and personality to our village.
